世界の三大珊瑚礁海域の１つであるハワイへは３０年程前から行きたいと思っていました。　又、２５年程前に見たUSAの映画に非常に感銘を受け、以後イルカに愛着心を持ち続けています。
（映画の内容とはハワイ大学の海洋研究所でイルカがアルファベットを教えられ、幾つかの言葉を理解し、発声し、研究員はその言語を理解出来る。　極超短波を聞き分け、敵のミサイル攻撃から人間を救ったり、炎上するタンカーから海へ飛び込んだ人を救ったりというものであったと思います。）

今回、オアフ島で３泊(６月１７－１９日）、機内で２泊と滞在期間は短かったですが長年の夢を実現出来ました。
この滞在で気づいた事を簡単に下記します。
１　観光バスの冷房が欧米人に合わせてあり、効き過ぎる為、風邪をひく恐れがある。
２　ディナーショウでのハワイアンダンス等、全て非常にすばらしい。
３　土産は日本で前もって買うより、ハワイで買った方が、値打ちがある。
４　ツアーはホテルと往復の飛行機のみで、食事もオプションツアーも含まれていないのが良い。現地での食費は安いし、オプションツアーは非常に豊富で好きなツアーのみを選んでより納得の行く滞在が望ましい。

I have been looking forward to visiting Hawaii for about 30 years, one of the world 3 biggest and beautiful coral reel. In addition, I am very impressed with the movie made by U.S.A. concerning dolphin which I saw about 25 years ago.
The contents of the movie were:
Dolphins were taught, by the laboratory of the University of Hawaii, the speaking of alphabet, gradually understanding several or more words and the laboratory workers became to be able to understand the speaking of the dolphins. The dolphins recognize the ultra super short-wave, save friends including human being from enimies' missile attack, or save peopl who plunge into sea to escape from burning oil tanker.

My dream was realized this time although the stay in Oahu Island was 3 days only.
Things I noticed during the short stay in this land:
1 Sight-seeing buses are air-cooled too much since the temperature is adjusted to foreiners(excluding Japanese). So, Japanese should be careful for catching cold.
2 Events in dinner show such as hawaian dance were splendid as far as I experienced three kind of events.
3 Souveniors should be bought locally in Hawaii. (I bought before leaving Japan, but buying souveniors in Hawaii was worthier.
4 Simple tour with round air ticket and hotels is desirable. Meals and optional tours shouｌd be sought locally.
