瀬戸原型工芸協会展 |
| ２００３年１０月１９日、瀬戸市新世紀工芸館の交流棟２階のギャラリーで ｢瀬戸原型工芸協会展｣が催されていましたので、その一部と協会について ご紹介します。 An exhition by Seto Ceramic Work Prototype Craft Association was held at 2nd floor of the communication building in Seto Ceramics and Glass Art Center on Oct. 19, 2003. 瀬戸原型工芸協会とは会員の創作活動の高揚、社会的地位の向上及び 地場産業の発展に寄与することを目的に、昭和５８年４月に発足。現在２３名 の原型工芸師が所属。 協会では、原型技術・デザインの向上、後継者育成 をめざして定期的に展示会を開催。 Seto Ceramic Work Prototype Craft Association has been established in April, 1983 to enhance its member's motivation for creative activity, to increase their social standing and to contribute to the development of the local industry. At present, 23 prototype producing experts belong to this Association. The Association plans to hold exhibitions periodically to improve the prototype producing technology and the prototype design, and to bring up successors. 原型師は、ノベルティを製造する時に、その作品をイメージしたデザイナーの 描いた原画をもとに、粘土で精密な完成品の原型を作ることが仕事です。 この時、次の過程で作る複雑な形状をした石膏型を考慮に入れながら、原型 を作っていかねばならない。この高度で緻密な技術は豊かな感性と長い経験 を要する。 The job of prototype producing experts is to make the prototype of precise finished products from clay on the basis of the original picture which designers draw based on the image of the actual thing. At this time, they have to make a prototype, taking into consideration the gypsum mold which carriy the complicated form made in the following process. This advanced and precise technology requires rich sensitivity and a long experience. このようにして、原型師の手から生み出されたノベルティの歴史は、原型師の 培われた技術を除いて語る事はできない。この技術は洗練され、今日に受け 継がれている。 Thus, the history of the novelty originated from prototype producing experts can not be told except for the technology cultivated by them.
