リモージュ月間"Seto Yakimono World Communication"Limoges Month

２００５年７月は｢せと・やきもの世界大交流イベント｣のリモージュ月間。
瀬戸市の尾張瀬戸駅の隣にある建物の｢パルティせと｣でリモージュ展（７月１０日～
７月３１日）が行われ、同建物５階｢アリーナ｣という会議場全てがリモージュ市の紹介
の為に開放されていました。
July, 2005 is France/Limoges Month in "Seto Yakimono World Communication".
Limoges exhibition (for a period of from July 10 through July 31, 2005) was held in
a building, "Parti Seto" neighboring to Owariseto Station (of Meitetsu private railway)
of Seto city. and all the conference arena of the 5th floor are applied for an introduction
of Limojes City.

７月１０日に｢パルティせと｣でのリモージュ展と｢瀬戸蔵｣へ行ってきました。
I went to Limoges Exhibition in "Parti Seto" and "Setogura" on July 10, 2005.

午前中はリモージュ市との友好都市提携のセレモニーが行われたので、その関係者、
瀬戸市産業観光課の職員、リモージュ市における瀬戸市駐在員事務所で勤めておら
れる方などがおられ、国際色豊かでした。
Ceremony of friendship town tie-up between Limoges city and Seto city was held
in the morning. So, person concerned, the staff of Industry and Tourism Division
in Seto city, an office worker attached to Seto city local representative office in
Limoges city gathered at "Parti Seto", creating international atmosphere.

瀬戸市の駐在員事務所で勤めておられる方は、リモージュ市の産業・観光・企業等の
展示物につき親切に説明して頂けました。
The office worker attached is very kind enough to explain exhibits such as industry,
sightseeing or company of Limoges city.

The origin of the town dates back over 2000 years.
Limoges and inhabitants of this town in the 20th century are famous for having
contributed to various humanism movement imprinted on the French history..

【位置など】
リモージュ市はパリから南へ３５０km、のフランスの中央部に位置するリムーザン地方
の中心都市。この地方は湖、森林、雄大な山脈や牧草地に恵まれ、その絵にしたような
景観はフランスでもっとも美しいものの一つに数えられます。リモージュ都市圏の人口
は２０万人強で、フランス中西部の文化、経済、大学の中心地となっています。
【Location】
Limoges city is a central city of a Limousin district located in French central part
of 350km from Paris to the south. This district is blessed with a lake, the forest,
magnificent mountain range and meadows, and a picturesque scene is counted
among the most beautiful scene in France. Limoges urban area has a population
of a little over 200,000 and is a center of culture, economy, and university around
French middle western district.

七宝、ステンドグラス、磁器で知られるリモージュはヨーロッパにおける陶芸の都です。
芸術家、彫金師、デザイナー、絵付師などの職人の手により、リモージュの町は活発な
創作活動を続けてきました。

Limoges known as cloisonne, stained glass, and porcelain is the capitals of ceramic
art in Europe. Craftmen such as artist, toreutics worker, designer, painting (on ceramic
body) worker in Limoges have been continueing active creative activities

このヨーロッパ｢セラミック・ヴァレー｣では、多岐にわたり、既に１０００人を超す人材を

【Ceramic valley】
Limoges city is also a center of ceramic technology.
Research institutes, vocational schools, companies, etc. regarding ceramic field
are established in Europe ceramic center located in Ester-Technopole.
This European "ceramic valley" employs talented person of more than 1000 people.

フランスのリモージュ陶器業界の花形的存在であるアルティザナルリモージュ社と
エルダクリエイションズ社は、その優雅で美しい作品作りで定評があり、世界各国
の人々に定評れています。
そんなアルティザナルリモージュ社、エルダクリエイションズ社と、せとものの街・瀬戸
の陶磁器工芸メーカー・中外陶園とのコラボレーションで、招き猫ミュージアムオリジナル
の美しいリモージュボックスが生れました。

A company of Altizanal Limoges and a company of Erudakurieishonzu are star
existence of Limoges ceramics industry in France, and enjoy an established reputation
for the making of beautiful and elegant work, and are acknowledged favorably by people
of various countries in the world.
By collaboration of them with Chuugai Touen, ceramics industrial arts maker in Seto City
,Town of Setomono (Town of porcelain and pottery), beautiful Limoges Box peculiar to
"Good Luck Inviting Cat Museum" was produced.

高さ２ｍ２５ｃｍ。　高さ２ｍ２５ｃｍのステンドグラス作品は日本国内はもちろん
ヨーロッパにおいても、見られない希少な作品です。
