｢第８回しなの工房めぐり｣及び愛知高原国定公園｢岩屋堂｣"Visit to Ceramic Art Studio at Shinano" & Iwayado

２００６年４月８日（土）・９日（日）、瀬戸市水野地区や品野地区でそれぞれ、｢水野窯めぐり｣
や｢第８回しなの工房めぐり｣が行われ、各地区の窯元が開放されていたので、４月９日に
瀬戸市の品野地区と市街地を次のコースで散策しました。
Events of "The Visit to Ceramic Art Studio at Mizuno area" and "The Visit to Ceramic
Art Studio at Shinano Area" were held in Seto City for two days of April 7 (Sat.) and
9 (Sun), 2006. Potteries at each area were opened. Among them, I strolled through part
of Shinano area and downtown.

品野陶磁器センター→品野地区の窯元のうち２件→岩屋堂→瀬戸市中心市街地の陶器店

品野陶磁器センターには瀬戸陶芸協会所属の陶芸作家による作品の常設ｷﾞｬﾗﾘｰがあり、
定期的に、展示物が入れ替えられています。
There is a permanent exhibition hall for works by ceramic artists belonging to Seto Ceramic
Art Association. The works are replaced periodically.

上記ｷﾞｬﾗﾘｰの他に、広い店内には値打ちな展示販売品やレストラン、作陶体験所、
広い駐車場もあり、又、中心市街地からちょっと離れているので、ウェブ作成者のお気に入り
の場所です。
Besides the permanent exhibition hall, Shinano Ceramic Center has goods displayed for sale,
restaurant , a place for forming pottery and big parking lot. The center is a little away from
the downtown. This is one of my favorite places.

次に、｢ﾋﾞｭｰﾃｨｰ工芸シノダ｣で一輪挿し等を見て、｢山田工芸｣で上絵付けの陶器や磁器の
商品と｢上絵付け用電気窯（窯１５個が一列に並んでいる）｣を見学、上絵付けされた手作り
の陶器のコーヒーカップを購入。
After looking at small flower vases at "Beauty Craftwork Shinoda"shop, I looked at upper
glazed pottery and porcelain at "Yamada Craftwork"shop where 15 electric kilns for upper
glazed ceramics were placed.

山田工芸さんでは、小学生の女の子達が透明釉を掛けられた白地の磁器製のマグカップ
に転写紙を貼り付け、上絵付け体験を楽しそうにしていました。
Elementary school girls atachied transfer papers to porcelain mugs and enjoyed under-
glazing-painting at "Yamada Craftwork"shop.

上絵付けはいろいろな方法があります。例えば、
白の素地に透明な釉薬を掛け、焼いた後に絵付けをする。
下絵付けをし、透明な釉薬を掛け、焼いた後に絵付けをする。
などです。
There are various method for upper-glaze-painting as follows:
Transparent glazing agent is applied to a white body, fired and then painted.
After under-glazing-painting is done, transparent glazing agent is applied, fired and
then painted.

購入したカップでは取っ手のダークブルー（顔料は呉須）と茶色の縦線（鉄系顔料）の２箇所
が下絵付けされ、透明釉を掛けられ、焼かれ、その後、全て手書きで上絵付けがされている
ようです。＜写真参照＞
As for a purchased cup with handle, two parts of dark-blue handle (painted with zaffer)
and brown vertical lines (painted with iron series pigment) were painted under glazing.
Then transparent glazing agent is applied, and fired. After that, under-glazing-painting
is done all by hand. (See photo.)

｢第８回しなの工房めぐり｣には６３の陶器等の窯元が協賛しています。
今回は２箇所だけ巡って、次に愛知高原国定公園の岩屋堂へ桜の花見に出かけました。
瀬戸市の東の外れに位置しているので、市街地に比べ開花が遅れると思っていたら、
既にほとんどの花は散って、葉桜状態。仕方なく、ちょっと見学し、市街地へ。　｢パルティせと｣
の地下駐車場へ駐車し、１階の｢うどんやさん｣で遅い昼食を食べ、瀬戸川沿いの陶器店を
覗いたりしてぶらぶらしました。
"The 8th Visit to Ceramic Art Studio at Shinano Area" was supported by 63 potteries etc.
This time, I visited only 2 potteries, and then went to to see the cherry blossoms at
Iwayado in Aichi Height Quashi-National Park located in the east end of Seto City.
I thought the cherry blossoms were late in blooming at Iwayado compared with at the
downtown. In fact, cherry blossoms were scattered. So, after walking around a little, I went
to "Parti Seto" at downtown for paking, had a late lunch at noodle shop, and explored the
downtown to take a look inside ceramics shop.

前日の４月８日土曜日はチベット高原方向から偏西風で日本に到達したと推定される黄砂に
よって瀬戸市の空は終日黄色で霞がかかったような状態となり、日曜日も、依然として黄砂
の影響がありました。
Seto City was covered with yellowish and misty sky all day on April 8, 2006 since yellow sand
carried by westerlies from around Tibetan Plateau reached Japan. Today, April 9, the sky in
Seto was still influenced by the yellow sand.
