第７回｢せと・まるっとミュージアム大回遊｣　 7th Seto Marutto Museum 'DAIKAIYU' great wandering

２００６年１１月１２日品野地区の窯元で作陶体験などをしてきました。
We went to Shinano area in Seto City to experience pottery forming on November 12, 2006.

１１月１１日と１２日、瀬戸市で第７回｢せと・まるっとミュージアム大回遊｣があり市内各地区
（赤津・水野・品野・中心市街地）の窯巡りが行われています。
赤津・水野・品野地区へは地域内を無料で移動できる回遊タクシーが走ります。
An event called "The 7th Seto Marutto Museum 'DAIKAIYU' Great Wandering" was held
on this November 11 and 12, 2006. In the event, tourists were able to visit potteries in
each area in Seto City such as Akazu, Mizuno, Shinano and downtown.Tourists can move
to such area through an excursion taxi free of charge.

このうち品野地区の徳寿製陶所という窯元で１１月１２日狛犬の作陶体験をしてきました。
自然乾燥に１ヶ月位かかり、来年初めに焼きあがって完成予定です。右の作品は口を
あけて歯がありますが小生の作品です。左はかみさんの作品です。
We experienced forming of pottery guardian dogs at a pottery called "Tokuju-Seitojo"
pottery at Shinano area on November 12. It will take about one month to let dry naturally.
After that, formed work will be fired. So, it is scheduled for completion in early, 2007.
A work with open mouth and teeth at right hand side is my work. Another work at left hand
side is my wife's.

今回は｢窯めぐり｣のイベントであり、わざわざ品野地区へ来られたということで１個１０００円
で体験させてもらいました。人数が多いと、指導に手が回らないですが、６人位だと指導が
出来ると言われていました。他の日はこの価格で作陶体験できるかわかりませんが、
ここは穴場です。
The pottery was generous enough to offer very reasonable prices of one thousand yen
for forming of pottery guardian dog. This was because of the event. The owner and potter
of the pottery said that it is difficult to instruct when number of people is too many.
In the other days than the event, it is unknown to experience the pottery forming
at the prices. At any rate, this is great spot for experience of pottery forming.

次に、徳寿製陶所から東へ１００ｍ位の正宝陶苑を見学しました。ご主人の日展入賞作品
が中に展示してあり、その周りに販売用の作品や販売用の見本の陶器がたくさん置いて
ありました。見本は量産前に商社などから製作依頼を受け、引き取り手がいないと、
そのまま残ってしまいます。この見本は各種類２～３個ですが、個性的で斬新なデザインで
魅力的なものが多いです。
Next, we visited "Seiho Toen" pottery. 100m east of the "Tokuju-Seitojo" pottery.
The owner and potter prize work accepted at the Nitten Exhibition(or Japan Fine Arts
Exhibition) was exhibited near the entrance inside the "Seiho Toen" pottery. A lot of
pottery or porcelain goods and sample for sale were placed around the prize work.
Samples will be left if orders for mass production will be not be secured from trading
house after production of sample. Although only several pieces were left for each sample ,
those were unique, of novel design and very attractive.

見本の中に急須が数種類あり、１つ購入（５００円）しました。　用途は醤油指しです。
I found several kinds of teapots, and bought one of them (Yen500) and will apply it to
soy sauce pot.

また、正宝陶苑では、手作りの美味しくて暖かい甘酒、柿、美味しいお茶、それと混ぜご飯
のおにぎりを頂きました。　嬉しいおもてなしでした。
The "Seiho Toen" potteryWarm treated us with homemade and warm sweet alcoholic amazake,
Japanese persimmon, tasty tea and rice ball mixed with vegitable.

この後、愛知高原国定公園の岩屋堂公園へ行き、紅葉を見学してきました。
未だ紅葉は５部目位でしたが、結構楽しめました。
After that, we went to Aichi Height Quashi-National Park, Iwayado to appreciate tinted
Autumnal leaves. But, they were in about the middle of red coloring of leaves

次に、赤津焼会館へ行き、伝統工芸士の作品を見たり、｢食と器の最前線｣というテーマ
で展示されていたテーブルコーディネートの作品を鑑賞しました。
Then, we went to "Akazu-Yaki Kaikan" Center to see many pieces of pottery work by
"Akazu-yaki" traditional craftsman and lots of pottery table coordinate work exhibited
under a theme of "Forefront of Food and Serving Dish" at the center.

最後に、｢瀬戸蔵｣で開催中の愛陶工特別企画展（主催：　愛知県陶磁器工業協同組合）
を見てきました。特に、加藤唐九朗の作品を見るのが目的でしたが、加藤民吉（伝　加藤民吉）
の作品や藤井達吉の作品（四点）も展示されていました。
この展示会で頂いたパンフレットには｢日陶連（日本陶磁器工業協同組合連合会）が
所蔵する、若き日の瀬戸の加藤唐九朗や有田の酒井田柿右衛門など日本を代表する
作家の作品を展示しています｣と紹介していました。
Finally, we went to "Setogura" citizen center to see exhibits at Aitoko Special Program
Exhibition (hosted by "Aitoko" standing for Aichi Prefecture Ceramics Cooperative
Association). The main purpose was to see work by the late ceramic artist, Kato Tokuro.
Part of a pamphlet received at the exhibition introduces as follows:
Several pieces of work by representative ceramic artists of Japan such as young Kato
Tokuro in Seto City and Sakaida Kakiemon in Arita are exhibited. Those belong in
"Nitoren" standing for Federation of Japan Pottery Manufacturers' Co-operative
Associations.

紹介の通り、どれも貴重で素晴らしい作品が展示されていました。
As introduced, lots of splendid ceramic work was exhibited.

岩屋堂暁明ヶ滝（ぎょうみょうがたき）近くにある｢１０重？の搭｣奈良県の信貴山の薬師如来と関連 Iwayado "Ten-story tower?" near Gyoumyougataki Waterfall The tower seemes to be related with Yakushi Tathagata in Mt. Shigi, in Nara Prefecture.	岩屋堂岩屋山薬師堂近くの紅葉 Aichi Height Quashi-National Park, Iwayado Tinted Autumnal leaves near Iwayado (standing for Iwaya-yama Yakushi-Dou), cave for the Healing (Medicine) Buddha
