愛知県名古屋市の美術館巡り Visit to Art Museums in Nagoya City, Aichi Pref., Japan

２００７年２月１１日愛知県瀬戸市の自宅から三重県四日市市へ行き、名古屋市
に戻り美術館巡りをしました。名古屋市美術館での大エルミタージュ美術館展と
愛知県美術館ギャラリー〔愛知芸術文化センター８階〕での第38回日展東海展です。
どちらの展示も盛況。特に名古屋市美術館の建物の外では、入場する前も後も
入場券を買い求める人達の行列が３０ｍ位できていました。大きな反響を呼んでいる
推測できる理由はロシア第２の都市であるサンクトペテルブルグ市へ行かなくても、
収蔵作品の一部が鑑賞出来ることの他に世界でも有数の美術館の雰囲気を
味わえるのではという期待です。
We went to Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture from our home in Seto City, Aichi
Prefecture and returned to Nagoya City to enjoy art exhibits at museums in
Nagoya City on February 11, 2007. The exhibits are Hermitage Museum Exhibition
at Nagoya City Art Museum and the 38th Nitten Tokai Exhibition (supported by
the Nitten Japan Fine Arts Group) at The Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art
at 8th floor of Aichi Arts Center . Both exhibitions had popularity and were
crowded. Outside a building of Nagoya City Art Museum, about 30 m of queues
of the people who tried to buy an admission ticket formed before and after our
admission.
Reasons to get a great response are presumable as follows:
Expectation to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of an eminent museum in the world,
and,
Expectation to be able to appreciate part of museum artifacts even if not going
to Sankt-Peterburg City, the second city in Russia.

１　万古不易とは｢永久に変わらないこと｣。
　　四日市市には万古焼きがあります。ひょっとして、万古焼きの｢万古｣を万古不易
　　の｢万古｣に掛けているように思われます。　即ち、　万古焼きは永久に不変。
２　常設展「名品コレクション展」に対しボランティアガイドの方に丁寧に説明して頂け
　　ました。またその時に質問をすると応えてもらえ、気持ち良く作品を鑑賞できました。
　　１時間位ガイドして頂けるということでしたが、こちらのスケジュールの都合で３０分位
　　に短縮してガイドをして頂きました。

1 "Banko Fueki" means that things remain unchanged forever.
　There is Pottery, "Banko-yaki" ware in Yokkaichi City. "Banko" of "Banko-yaki" ware
　seemes to be linked with "Banko" of "Banko Fueki". More specifically, "Banko-yaki"
　ware remains unchanged forever.
2 Permanent Exhibition Space
　A volunteer guide explained kindly on Parmanent Exhibition, "Exhibition for Famous
　Articles Collection". The volunteer guide answered questions asked and let me feel
　comfortable in appreciating famous articlea.
