花フェスタ記念公園

岐阜県可児市の花フェスタ記念公園で｢春のバラフェスタ２００３｣（期間５月１０日～
６月２３日）が催されていたので、２００３年６月７日薔薇を見に行きました。
瀬戸市の自宅から国道２４８号を北上し多治見市を東西に走る国道１９号線との交差点
をそのまま直進し約２００m先の交差点を左折し、旧国道２４８号（車線右側；中側は
新国道２４８号、即ちバイパスに繋がるので気を付ける）を約５００ｍ直進、交差点
（花フェスタ記念公園への標識がある）を右折すれば、約１５分で目的地に到着
（自宅から約１時間）。
近くにこんな素晴らしい公園があるとはおもいませんでした。特に気に入った所は次の
個所です：

｢日本一のバラ園｣：　１６０３品種、４１，０００株のバラ植栽。中でも、シャルルドゴールの
色、甘い香り、形等は小生の最高のお気に入りです。
｢花の地球館｣内のトロピカルゾーン、フラワーショースペースゾーン、そよぎの谷の池
に浮かぶ睡蓮（蓮？）の黄色の花
｢花いかだ｣：　合計12艘のいかだに黄色の花が８艘、橙色の花が4艘、池に浮かんでいる。
｢４５ｍの花のタワー｣：　屋上のレストラン｢フローラル｣から撮影した公園。
｢茶室｣：　西側ゲートから約４００m離れた所にあり、周囲は池と丘に囲まれて静か。
抹茶はお菓子付きで一服４００円。（志野や織部の抹茶茶碗が５個展示されていますが、
これは展示用。自分で好きな茶碗を選ぶ事はできません。→　愛知県陶磁資料館の
入口近くにある茶室｢陶翠苑｣は陶芸家製の茶碗を選ぶことが出来ます。）
屋外の｢グラデーション花壇｣
｢花トピアホール｣内の花の庭園やキボウシ展　

入場料：　８００円（４～１１月）；　４００円（１２～３月）
入口：東ゲートと西ゲータの２箇所。
駐車場（無料）：　東と西に有り。日本一のバラ園に近いのは西駐車場。
２００５年には愛知国際万博に合わせ、世界一のバラ園が開園予定。

Since "Rose Fest in spring, 2003" (period from May 10 to June 23) was held in
Flower Festa Memorial Park in Kani-City, Gifu Pref., I went to see a rose there
on June 7, 2003

My house in Seto city→drive north on national road No. 248→ national road No. 19
→go straight the crossing about 200m to next crossing→turn to the left and go straight
about 500m to next crossing (there is a sign to Flower Festa Memorial Park)→
turn to the right and drive for about 15 minutes→arrive at the destination
[Time required from my house to the destination] about 1 hour
I did not expect that such a wonderful park is located near. Some of my favorites are:

No.1 Rose Garden in Japan: 1,603 kinds and planting of 41,000 stumps. Especially,
Charles De Galle is my most favorite because of the color, sweet frangrant and shape.
"Tropical Zone", "Flower Show Space Zone", and yellow flowers of the water lily
(lotus ?) floating on the pond of "Swaying Valley" in an "Earth Hall of a Flower"
"Flower Raft": Eight rafts with yellow flowers and four rafts with orange ones are
floating on a pond.
Flower Tower of 45m high: Park photoed at the restaurant "Floral" on the top
of the Tower.
Tea ceremony house: It is located about 400m away from the west side gate, and
the circumference is surrounded by a pond and a hill, and quiet.
A dose of green tea is 400 yen with sweets. Although five teacups fired with glaze
of Shino or Oribe are exhibited, they are for exhibition. You can not choose your
favorite teacup.
[For your reference, you can choose your favorite teacup from a list table showing
dozens of teacups made by famous ceramic artists around Seto City at a tea
ceremony house, "Tosuien" which is near the entrance of Aichi Prefectural Ceramic
Museum in Seto City.]
Outdoor Gradation Flower Bed: Flower garden and an exhibition of flowering plant,
'Kiboushi' in a building called "Flower-Topia Hall"

Admission fee : \800 (April - Nov.); \400 (Dec. - Mar.)
Entrance: Two places (an east gate and west gate)
Parking lot (no charge) : one each at east and west. The west parking lot is near
the No.1 rose garden of Japan.
No.1 rose garden in the world is scheduled to open in March, 2003, aiming at The
2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan held in Seto City, Toyota City and
Nagakute Town (Mar. 26 - Sep. 25, 2005).
