南木曽温泉郷

5月12日の母の日の先取りで5月5日の子供の日に南木曽温泉郷のホテルで昼食をとり
温泉に入りました。ここは国道１９号の中津川から約１８ｋｍ約３０分（瀬戸市の自宅から
南木曽までは約８４ｋｍ、約２時間）の所にあります。南西には馬籠宿、西には妻籠宿があり、
温泉以外に馬籠から妻籠或いはその逆の散策コースをリュックサックを背負って森林浴を
しながらハイキングすることもでき、老若男女が楽しめるのではないでしょうか。
当日ホテルでは男性は１５０トンの石をくりぬいて造った世界一の巨大石風呂に入り、女性は
ヒノキ風呂に入ってから和食処”花籠”で和食会席を頂きました。このホテルは日により、男性
と女性が入る風呂を決めており、小生は３度目にして初めて石風呂に入ることが出来ました。
女性は石風呂が好きみたいだが、小生はどっちも好きである。

We bathed ourselves in the hot spring after eating lunch in the hotel of the Nagiso hot-spring
village on Children's Day on May 5 in advance of Mother's Day on May 12.
This is about 30 minutes by car (about 18 km) from Nakatsugawa on National highway No. 19.
(about 84 km and 2 hours by car to Nagiso from Seto City).
There is Magomejuku (group of lodging area at Magome in Edo era) south-west of the hotel,
and Tsumagojuku (group of lodging area at Tsumago in Edo era) west of the hotel.
Besides enjoying the hot spring, you can enjoy taking a therapeutic walk in the forest course
of Magomejuku toTsumagojuku (or the reverse course) with rucksack or knapsack on your back
(kind of back-packer). It suits men and women of all ages.
On the day, men bathe in the biggest stone bath in the world and women in Japanese cypress
bath. After that, we had lunch of Japanese-style food like a full course dinner.
This hotel changes the bath men and women can bathe in depending on the day.

注）
木曾馬（現地の立て看板より）：
農耕馬として１５００年前から飼われて来て、源平合戦では木曾義仲、桶狭間の戦いでは
織田信長の愛馬。
特徴:
１性格は大変優しい。昔は木曾馬の世話は女性の手によってされてきた。
２粗食。祖飼料だけで元気に育つので、昔、食料不足の農家では大変助かったという。
３胴長短足。　小柄ながら力強く、強健である。

Kiso horse (cited from signboard there):
This horse has been kept 1500 years before as a farming horse,
This horse was kept with tender care by Kiso Yoshinaka in
Genji-and-the-Heike battle (battle between two biggest tribes in around 1195) and
and also kept by military commander,Oda Nobunaga in Okehazama battle in 1560.
Features:
1 Character is very gentle. Care of the Kiso horse has been taken by the female in
　 the past.
2 Plain [simple] diet. This horse live on a frugal diet cheerfully. At the farmhouse where
　 food is insufficient, it was saved very much..
3 Long body and short legs. Though short in stature, it is forcible, and it is robust.
