(利用については使用日の3ヶ月から3日前まで、 尾張旭市生涯学習課で受付) We visited an arbor called 'Doudan-Tei' that is famous for 'Doudan-Tsutsuji' (a kind of azalea) on Apr. 20, 2002. This arbor is opened to public once a year (for a week from Apr. 15 through Aprl 21 in the year of 2002). The blossoms are far from being in full bloom when we visited. So, I imaged the blossoms in full bloom by seeing the photos displayed in the room. While, we were served powdered green tea at a detached Japanese-style room. The arbor is located in about 200 m north of a crossing of Oomorikasumigaoka on Seto main road. Each room of this arbor can be used at a low prices as cultural facilities for education of Owariasahi city. (The application for use is received at lifelong study section of the city office from 3 montsh before the use to 3 days before.) History of Doudan-Tei (based on a pamphlet issued by a board of education of Owariasahi City): The main building of Doudan-Tei was built as residence of Araki family at Yoshiki-Gun, Gifu Prefecture in 1723. The building was three storied in an area of a little west from the present place in 1943. It was dismantled and reconstructed as 2 stories building in the present place. The main building was moved here in 1967, and detached room was newly built. While, the garden was arranged using Noh song, "excursion for viewing scarlet maple leaves"as a motif. This garden shows that crane (represented by stepping stones and dried pond) and tortoise (represented by artificial mountain) are forming grups and playing in the happiness (represented by pine, bamboo and ume tree). |
