2003年11月8日と9日瀬戸市で、せと・まるっとミュージアム大回遊第4回が行われ,
大回遊参加の瀬戸市内各地区の窯元が開放されました。又、9日、瀬戸市の古刹
雲興寺では｢秋のめぐみ感謝祭｣で、ぜんざい接待や農産物朝市が行われました。
主催はNPO（非営利団体）の｢フォーラム東明２１｣。
当日は雨。午前１０時頃、約30台の寺の駐車場にかろうじて駐車した。
接待所で餅入りのぜんざいを頂いた後、近くでとれた野菜、漬物、陶器の小物
（写真参照小花瓶と紙挟み；市価の2割位？）を購入し、山門をくぐり、
本堂へ向かった。
帰りは、たまたま、オーストラリアのアデレードから見学に来られた年配の夫婦と
思しき人に話しかけたら、｢今から、赤津焼を見に行きたいが、バスはいつ来るのか｣
と心配されていたので、小生が帰宅途中のコースでもあり、赤津焼会館への最寄の
交差点｢大松｣付近まで車で送ってあげた。
The 4th time of large excursion titled Seto-Whole Musium was performed in Seto
City, Aichi Prefecture on November 8 and 9, 2003 and pottery which participated
in this excursion were made open to the public. One of the events is "Thanksgiving
day festival for the blessings of autumn". This "Thanksgiving day festival" was held
at the historic old temple of Seto on Nov. 9. In this festival, sweet red-bean soup
with rice cakes was served for those present and fresh vegetables and pickles were
prepared for sale in the morning fair, and also, small articles of crockery were
prepared at far cheaper prices than the market ones.
Sponsorship is the "forumTomei 21" of NPO (nonprofit institution).
It rained on the day. I parked a car barely at the parking lot of the temple which
can accommodate about 30 cars at around 10:00 a.m. After drinking or eating
the sweet red-bean soup with rice cakes at an builing used as a reception place,
I purchased the fresh vegetables taken near, pickles, and the small articles of
crockery (floret bottle and paper clip; twenty-percent cheaper than the market
price?; see photographs), and then I passed through the main gate of the temple
and went to the main building.
I spoke by chance to an elderly couple who seemed to be husband and wife and
came from Adelaide in Australia on my way home. They wanted to go seeing
Akazuyaki (or pottery fired at Akazu). I drove them to the crossing, "Daimatsu"
near Akazu-Kaikan (or Akatzu-ware Hall).

１　雲興寺　＜その他の瀬戸の風景No.115参照＞
１４世紀創建。本山は永平寺総持寺。ご利益は盗難除けと言われている。
山門斜め前に｢盗難除性窯神｣と彫ってある石碑がある。（山門の写真参照）
又、山門前両脇の石碑に各々｢三界萬霊等｣｢山門禁葷酒｣＜備考参照＞と
彫ってあるが織田信長の瀬戸奨励策に関係していると推測します。
東海自然歩道のコースになっている。即ち、
雲興寺から東へ→猿投山（5.4km)→猿投神社(4.8km)
雲興寺から西へ→岩屋堂（3.3km)→白岩の里(4.5km)

１）　五葷（くん）[出所：大辞林]
臭気の強い五種の野菜。仏家では大蒜（ニンニク）・小蒜（ヒル）・興渠（ニラ）・
慈葱（ネギ）・茖葱（ラッキョウ）の五種、道家では韮（ニラ）・薤（オオニラ）・
蒜（ニンニク）・薹（アブラナ）・胡（コエンドロ）の五種をいい、これを食べると
淫欲(いんよく)・憤怒(ふんぬ)が起こるとして禁じる。五辛(ごしん)。
２）　｢三界萬霊等｣の｢山門禁葷酒｣
「三界萬霊」の次の漢字が「寺」 か 「等」かわかりませんでしたが、このページを
ご覧になった佐藤さんに指摘頂き「等」と理解しました。
｢山門禁葷酒｣の｢葷｣の漢字は最初、｢軍｣と思っていましたが、佐藤さんに
指摘頂き「葷」と理解しました。

２　陶磁之塔：　昭和47年建立。
３　ふくろうの小花瓶
　　自宅に咲いているレースラベンダーを切って、この花瓶に入れた。幅約１２cm、
　　厚み4cmで、壁にも掛けれるようになっている。なかなか気が利いている。
４　紙挟み用陶器
　　幅約6cmで、先に紙を挿入するスリットが入っている。飾りとしてもおもしろい。
　　＊両方共、瀬戸市東明町の窯元｢松葉産業�乾さんの商品です。
【Explanation of photos】
1 Unkoji Temple
　Founded in the 14 century. The head temple is Eiheiji Soujiji Temle.
　Miraculous efficacy is said to be antitheft. There is a stone monument obliquely
　before the main gate of the temple. On the monument, carved are characters,
　"Tounan-Josei-Youshin" (literally translated as "Pottery god to drive away
　theft". (See the photo of the main gate.) At both sides in front of the main gate,
　is there a stone monument respectively each on which characters, "Sankai-
　Manrei-Ji" ( literally translated as "Three worlds million spirits temple" and
　"Sanmon-Kin-GunShu" (literally translated as "Prohibition against army and
　alcohol through the main gate" are carved. It is presumed that such carving is
　 related with a policy by the shogunate of Oda Nobunaga who tried to revitalize
　 Seto in the middle of the 16 century.
　This temple is located in the route of Tokai Nature Walk Course as follows:
　East from Unkoji Temple→Mt. Sanage （5.4km)→Sanage Shrine(4.8km)
　West from Unkoji Temple→Iwayado（3.3km)→Shiroiwa-no-Sato(4.5km)
2 Toji-no-To (or "Tower of Porcelain"): built in 1972
3 Floret bottle of owl
　Cutting lace lavenders grown in my garden, I put them in this floret bottle.
　width 12 cm, depth 6 cm. It is devised so that it can be hung on a wall. It is
　sensible.
4 Ceramic work for paper clip
　Width 6 cm. A slit is provided on the tip. Is is attractive also as decoration.
　* The above works in item Nos. 3 and 4 are produced by a pottery, "Matsuba
　 　Sangyo Co., Ltd."
