｢花フェスタ２００５ぎふ｣２回目Flower Festa 2005 Gifu 2nd time

2005年5月28日午前11時自宅を出て、東海環状自動車道を利用し岐阜県可児市の
｢花フェスタ２００５ぎふ｣へ向かった。薔薇が最盛期で混むとは予想していたが、予想を
はるかに上回る混雑度であった。
I left my house at 11 a.m. on May 28, 2005 to go to"Flower Festa 2005 Gifu" held in
Flower Festa Memorial Park in Kani-City. I took a route of using Tokai Ring Expressway.
I expected the roads to the Festa would be congested since roses are in season. But,
the congestion was far beyond my expectation.

｢せと品野IC｣から自動車道に入って、交通状況情報を調べる為にラジオを付けたら、
｢土岐IC｣から｢可児御嵩IC｣出口まで１０km渋滞との情報が流れてきた。半信半疑で、
そのまま走っていると、まもなく｢土岐IC｣付近を通過、渋滞が直ぐ始まり、渋滞情報の
通りとなっていた。
I entered into the Tokai Ring Expressway at "Seto Shinano IC" and put on a radio
to see a traffic situation. The radio informed that the Expressway was congested
by 10 km from "Toki IC" to "Kani Mitake IC" Irrespective that information, I half in
doubt drove my car, and immediately after passing "Toki IC", congestion began as
informed by the radio.

結局、この渋滞の為に、｢せと品野IC｣～｢可児御嵩IC｣（約24km）を３時間位かけ、
｢可児御嵩IC｣を降りて会場東ゲート側の駐車場へ到着するまでに約４５分かかった。
It took about 3 hours to go from "Seto-Shinano IC" to "Kani-Mitake IC" due to the
conjestion. It took another about 45 minutes to reach the Festa venue from
"Kani-Mitake IC".

東海環状自動車道の利用者の９０％以上が｢花フェスタ２００５ぎふ｣入園目的のようです。
従って、｢可児御嵩IC｣料金所でも渋滞。　花フェスタの東ゲート側の駐車場も満杯で、
空くまで、道路の右折車線で待機。　西ゲート側から東ゲート側の駐車場へは左折に
なりますが、車線は一つしか無いので、道路に待機できず、そのまま、駐車の待機
をあきらめて直進させられていました。
More than 90 % of users of Tokai Ring Expressway seemed to aim to go to the Festa.
Traffic was conjested also at tollgate of "Kani-Mitake IC". The east gate parking lot
of the Festa was full, and I awaited at right-hand turn lane until entering into the parking
lot was allowed. While, the opposite lane has only one lane. So, when reaching from west
gate to east gate, drivers can not await at the lane to turn left because it disturbs
smooth traffic. They had to go straight.

結局、目的地までの予定所要時間、30分が4時間弱かかり、午後３時頃入園。
閉園は午後５時の為、時間がないので、会場内のレストランでの昼食は諦め、パンと
お茶を東ゲート入口で買って、食べながら、見学しました。
After all, the time to reach the Festa was about 4 hours instead of 30 minutes expected.
So, I entered there at about three in the afternoon. I had not enough time to see around,
gave up having lunch at a restaurant in the Festa venue and bought bread and tea at
a shop near the east gate since the closing time was five in the afternoon.

｢花いかだの池｣→｢世界のバラ園｣→｢ターシャの庭｣→｢イギリスのロイヤルローズガーデン｣
→｢日本の皇室のバラ園｣→｢花トピア｣等を急いで見学。
他にも、一杯見所がありますが、諦めました。一番見たい所は見ることが出来たので満足です。
I hastend to see the following:
"Flower-raft floating pond" → "World Rose Garden" → "Tasha Tudor's Garden" →
"England Royal Rose Garden"→ "Japan Imperial Family Rose Garden"→ "Hanatopia"
I wanted to see the other places but gave up. At any rate, I was satisfied.

２００５年５月１日には｢花トピア｣内で薔薇展が行われていましたが，５月２８日はサツキ展が
行われていて、今まで見た事がない素晴らしいサツキを見ました。　係の方に尋ねたら、花の
種類は｢旭の泉｣というそうです。　今回、デジカメのメディアが容量一杯になり、撮れなかった
ので、今後、どこかで、サツキの展示会がある時にはこの｢旭の泉｣を撮るつもりです。　
Rose exhibition was held at "Hanatopia" on May 1, 2005, but dwarf azalea exhibition at the
same place on May 28, 2005. Dwarf azaleas exhibited were marverous. A person in charge
told it was called "Asahi-no-izumi" (literally translated into "fountain of sun rising in the
east") . Photos for the dwarf azaleas could not be taken this time because the capacity of
memoy in my degital camera became full. If chance will come again, I will take photo for
"Asahi-no-izumi".

帰りは一般自動車道を利用し、途中、多治見市の｢BANK｣という喫茶店（兼レストラン）で
パスタセットを食べました。　天井が高いし，ゆったりしていて、、店員さんも感じがよく、良い
雰囲気でした。
On the way back to my home, I used general road, and dropped in a coffee shop, "BANK"
(combined with restaurant) where we ate pasta sets. The room was high in ceiling and
spacious.

【教訓】
可児市の周辺の地域の人（瀬戸市・尾張旭市・名古屋市など）は東海環状自動車道を利用
しないで、多治見市経由国道１９号を利用し、｢明和｣という交差点で北へ進路を採るのが
ベストかもしれません。
但し、５月２８日は８時４５分頃に東・西ゲート駐車場は満杯になった模様。特に薔薇の開花
期間の土・日曜は一般自動車道も渋滞したようです。　ゲート前の駐車場を利用するには、
開園９時３０分の１時間前には到着する必要がありそうです。
この場合、西ゲート側にまず、向かい、そこで満車なら、東ゲート側の駐車場へ向かう事が
出来ます。
【Lesson】
It will be best to use national road Route 19 through Tajimi City and take a route to north
at a crossing, "Meiwa" for local people living around Kani City such as Seto City, Owariasahi
City or Nagoya City. Using Tokai Ring Expressway is unrecommendable.
It seemed that parking lots at each east and west gate were fully occupied at about 8:45 a.m.
on May 28, 2005. General roads also seemed to be congested on Saturday and Sunday in
blooming period Arrival at the parking lots in front of the gate one hour before the opening
of the Festa will be vital.　In this case, you can go to the west gate parking lot first, and if
fully occupied, you can go to the east gate parking lot
