安曇野と蓼科 P1　Azumino and Tateshina P1

２００６年９月７日～９日、長野県安曇野と蓼科へ旅行。
We went on a trip to Azumino and Tateshina, sightseeing resort area in Nagano
Prefecture for two days from September 7 to 8, 2006.

往きは曇り、現地では１日目にちょっと雨に降られましたが、２日目は晴れ、帰りは曇り、
途中、ビーナスラインで深い霧に合いました。　全体に良い天気に恵まれました。
Outward journey day was cloudy, and we were caught slightly in the rain on the first
day. Homeward journeys early in the morning of the second day was fine, but in around
nine thirty a.m. "Venus line" plateau way was covered by dense fog. The weather was
fine wholly.

瀬戸市＜国道２４８号＞→笠原→恵那＜多治見恵那線＞→中津川＜国道１９号＞
→塩尻北IC→豊科IC＜長野自動車道＞→国営アルプスあづみの公園＜豊科IC降りて、
北へ２つ目の交差点｢豊科IC北｣を左折、東西に延びる国道５７号、国道４９５号経由＞
→安曇野アートヒルズミュージアム＜南北に延びる山麓線＞→

1 1st day
Seto City <Route 248> → Kasahara → Ena <Tajimi-Ena Line>
→ Nakatsugawa <Route 19> → Shiojiri-North IC → Toyoshina IC <Nagano toll road>
→ Alps Azumino National Government Park <went out of Toyoshina IC, went straight,
and turned left at the second intersection "Toyoshina IC North", then rode Route 57
extending from east to west, and roude Route 495 to the Park>

ビーナスラインで最も眺望が良い｢車山→霧が峰｣、更に霧が峰→元町の途中が、
深い霧で霧以外何も見えなかったが、道路のセンターラインが５ｍ位先まで見えるので、
特に不安はなかった。　中央自動車道の諏訪ICに入ってラジオで高速道路情報を
聞いたら｢駒ヶ根ICと飯田ICの間が霧の為通行禁止｣と伝えてきた。　ちょっと心配しま
したがマイカーが通過する頃には通行禁止が解除されていました。

"Kurumayama → Kirigamine" the most superb view area in the "Venus line" and
the way to Motomachi from Kirigamine were covered by dense fog. So, I did not see
anything except for a center line of the road within 5 m ahead. At Suwa IC, my car radio
sent out traffic ban between "Komagane IC" and "Iida IC" on Chuo toll road due to
dense fog. I was afraid a little, but the ban was lifted when we reached near the banned
zone.

《注 Note》
１　東光寺
正式名称は｢吉祥山　東光寺（曹洞宗）｣。　写真では見えませんが、山門の両側に仁王様
の大きな彫像があります。仁王様に頭を下げてから山門をくぐります。山門の奥の本堂の下
に入って大黒尊天に触れようと、浄財の１００円を箱に入れて、小さな戸を開けようとしたら、
鍵がかかっていて、中に入れなかった。　境内の手入れが行き届いた庭や薬師如来像や
朱塗りの巨大下駄も見たので、住職には問題点を申し入れせずにここを出ました。
写真に見える朱塗りの仁王様の下駄をはくと、仏のご利益で願いがかなうと説明板に
書いてあったので、はきました。
1 Tohkohhi temple
Official name is "Kisshozan Tohkohhi temple (Sohtoh-shu sect)". Although not seen in
the photo, big wooden statues for guardians of the temple stand at both sides of its
temple gate. After bowing to the statues, we pass through the gate. We put a coin of
yen100 into a small wooden box attached to a main hall and tried to open a sliding door
to enter under the main hall at the back of the gate . But, we could not open it because
it was locked. This was a problem, but I did not point out to the chief priest because
I was satisfied to see well-cared for garden in the precincts, a statue for "Yakushi-nyorai"
Healing (Medicine) Buddha and big vermillion-lacquered wooden clogs. An explanaton board
says that wish is fulfilled thanks to a power of the Buddha when putting on the clogs.
So, I put on the clogs.

２　穂高川わさび園
ここから東へ約１．５ｋｍの所に日本一の広さの｢大王わさび農場｣があります。
穂高川わさび園は穂高川の南に広がっていて、湧水が民家の前にこんこんと涌き出ています。
2 Hodakagawa river Japanese horseradish field
Japan's largest Japanese horseradish field, Daio Wasabi Japanese horseradish farm is about
1.5 km east from the field. The field spreads to south of the Hodakagawa river, and spring
wells up from the earth in front of private houses.

ここは｢安曇野わさび田湧水群｣で名水百選として環境庁から認定されている。
写真は穂高川と穂高川わさび園の間の土手に設置してある｢早春賦歌碑｣の傍から撮った
穂高川わさび園の一部の風景です。
This area is "Azumino Wasabida Yuusuigun" (Azumino Japanese horseradish field Zone)
, designated as one of 100 best waters in Japan by The Ministry of the Environment.
A photo in Page 2 shows part of secenery for the Hodakagawa river Japanese horseradish
field. The photo was taken at a monument to a song "Sohshunfu" [See Note 1]
(translated literally "early spring song") placed at a riverbank between the Hodakagawa
river and the Hodakagawa river Japanese horseradish field

Note 1 Sohshunfu
The song "Sohshunfu" shows a feeling of eagerly waiting for springtime to come.
