市民会館

瀬戸市民会館：
１９５９年に建設され２００２年の今年で４３年になりましたが時代の要請により取り壊され、
２００５年３月２５日開催の国際万博　”愛・地球博”　迄、恐らく２００４年１２月頃に
産業・市民センター（仮称）《注１》として生まれ変わります。市民会館の最後のイベントとして
　”ありがとう市民会館”　が本日（２００２年９月２９日）催されました。

新市民センター｢瀬戸蔵｣としてとして復活予定。建築状況及び付近の写真を今後掲載予定。

Seto Civic Hall:
Seto Civic Hall will be pulled down by the request of a time, although itl was built in 1959
and has been 43 years by this year of 2002. It is born again as an industry and citizen
center (tentative name) 《Note1》before International Expo, "Love・Earth Exposition held on
March 25, 2005. Final event, "Thanks for Civil Hall" was held at this Hall on Sep.29,
2002.

Seto Civic Hall will be built newly and come to life again as a new citizen center "Setogra".
Photos on progress of this new building and situation of the vicinity of this building site
will be shown from now on.

最後のイベントの雰囲気：
観客の多くは年配の方が多く、それぞれの思い出を抱いてこのイベントに来られたのでは
ないでしょうか。合計５５０席のほとんどが埋まり、会場は熱気で充満していました。

Atmosphere in this Final Event:
Many of spectators were elderly one and came to this event, bearing each recollections
in their mind, I expect. About 550 seats in total were full and the hall was filled with heat.

感想：
子供太鼓は相変わらずすばらしい。今回、｢登り窯｣（写真参照）の演奏を見ましたが、
前回は気がつきませんでしたが、最初の窯から徐々に上の窯に火が伝わっていく様子
を太鼓と演奏者の動きで表していたようでした。
＊　ステージ最前列にある太鼓は陶器製です。

軽妙な講談、父を上回った動物のものまねや注意を上手に自分に引き込む落語、
更に今回のイベントの司会役の江戸家まねき猫さん（江戸家猫八の長女）が｢さよなら｣
の微妙な意味を汲みながら熱意をもって上手にプログラムを進行させられたことに
感心しました。

古瀬戸吹奏楽団は昭和29年結成で市民会館の柿落としで演奏。今回も演奏。
楽団の方達には当時のメンバーが3人（内1人は指揮者）もおられ、感慨ひとしおだと
思いました。

Impression:
Seto Child Drum "Komainu" was marvelous as usual. Although I did not find out in
performance of "Climbing Kiln" on an earlier occasion, the performance seemed to
show the fire transfer from the first kiln to upper ones in Climbing Kiln by the
performance.
* The drums in the stage front row are made from Setoware (ceramics).

Light storytelling, animal mimicry exceeding her father's one, comic story drawing
attention well and her tactful and sincere proceeding with the program taking delicate
feelings into account were all impressing me.

Kozeto brass band established in 1954 was performing at the opening of entertainment
of this Civic Hall and performing at the end this time. Three persons among the
member of those days remain in this orchestra, and they looked impressed.

産業・市民センター（仮称）の概要：
４階建て。
1階・2階　建物の周囲にコリドール（回廊）を配す。
1階　エントランスホールと店舗
2階　市民ホール　（市民会館の市民ホールのステージより広くし、その代わり観客席を
　　　　３００席位とし、ステージと観客席との一体感を醸し出す。）
3階　交流ラウンジと会議室
4階　多目的ホールと会議室

Outline of Industry-Citizen Center (tentavive name):
4 stories
1st and 2nd floors: place of corridor to the circumference of a building
1st floor: Entrance hall and shops
2nd floor: Citizen hall (Stage is more spacious than the one in this present Civic Hall,
　　　　　　instead the number of seats for the spectators decreased to about 300 so
　　　　　　that a sense of togetherness with seats is brewed
3rd floor: An exchange lounge and a conference room
4th floor: A multiple-purpose hall and conference rooms
